The women of ancient Greece were definitely not treated fair at all. This kind of treatment is not seen often these days but in some smaller countries it still carries on. These women were used as sex slaves to the men of Greece and this happens in some countries or in rebel forces around the world when they take women from their homes and use them. Also these girls were only allowed limited learning and education. Another thing would be that they couldn’t leave their home without being with their husband.
Not all of the Greek women were treated badly though it just depended on where you lived. It seems there were signs left behind on structures that suggest that in some cultures and places girls were treated fairly and respected very well. This is one way Greece has partially made a contribution to modern society, the women of today are treated the same as men and have the all the same rights and can do whatever a man does too. A lot of our culture comes from ancient Greece so it wouldn’t be a surprise if this did make an impact somehow on our society. We see these influences from ancient Greece in more popular/well known places and countries around the world where usually the culture is different in some ways but, the women still are treated equally because over time most nations realized that women are equal to man and they deserve rights and freedom too.
